Yes — always. Once we've reimagined your photo as a watercolour, we email you a free digital proof before we print a single page. You check the framing, the likeness, the feel. If something needs adjusting, ask and we'll tweak it. Nothing goes to print until you're happy with what you see.

A phone photo is usually fine, as long as the subject is in focus, reasonably well lit and not heavily zoomed. Group shots and couple portraits work best when everyone's clearly in frame. If the photo you've sent won't give a good result, we'll let you know at the proof stage before anything prints.

Three sizes: 21 × 29.7 cm from £34.95, 30 × 40 cm and 45 × 60 cm up to £94.95 — all on premium paper. Adding a frame (black, white or natural wood) is £30 on top. The frame arrives fitted and ready to hang; print-only gives the recipient the option to frame it their way.

It has the look and feel of a watercolour portrait — soft edges, the warmth you'd expect from a watercolour original. But it's an artist-reimagined digital watercolour, not a physical hand-painted original. We're upfront about that because the free proof makes the quality speak for itself.

Most orders are printed and dispatched within a few days of you approving the digital proof. The exact delivery window depends on where you are, but we print close to you to keep transit time short. Order in good time before the occasion so the proof-and-approve step doesn't feel rushed.
