Why we sell our prints unframed

Most of our prints ship unframed, so you can choose a frame you love rather than pay for one you'd swap out.

Pick your own look. Match the frame to your room, oak, black or white wood, or a mounted gallery style.
Don't pay twice. A frame you didn't choose often gets replaced. Unframed keeps the cost on the artwork.
Ships flat and safe. A flat-packed print travels far better than glass.

Choosing a frame that fits

Our prints come in three standard sizes, so an off-the-shelf frame is easy to find:

21 × 29.7 cm (A4) — fits any standard A4 frame.
30 × 40 cm — a common ready-made frame size.
45 × 60 cm — a popular large size, also widely sold ready-made.

Two easy ways to frame it:

Frame to size. Buy a frame in the exact size above, no mount needed.
Use a mount (mat). Choose a slightly larger frame with a mount cut to your print size, for a gallery look with a border.

Tip: check the frame's artwork opening (not its outer size), and look for a real glass or acrylic front.

What photo works best for the Mum & Me Baking print?

A clear photo with both faces visible gives the best result, it doesn't need to be a professional shot. Candid kitchen photos work especially well. Once you upload it, our artist will reimagine the scene in watercolour and send you a free digital proof to check before anything prints.

Can I include more than two people in the print?

Yes. You can include siblings, grandparents or anyone else who belongs in the scene. Just upload the photo and let us know if there's anything specific you'd like us to focus on, we'll send a proof for your approval either way.

Is this actually hand-painted?

It's an artist-reimagined digital watercolour made from your photo. It's not a hand-painted physical original, and we think that's worth saying clearly. The free digital proof means you see exactly what you're getting before it's printed on premium paper.

How quickly will it arrive in time for Mother's Day or a birthday?

We deliver in days from proof approval. If you have a date in mind, upload your photo as early as you can to allow time for the proof stage, then we'll print and dispatch promptly. Delivery timescales are shown at checkout based on your location.

What if I don't like the proof?

Then we change it. The proof stage is there so you can ask for tweaks to the colours, the background or the likeness, and we'll keep revising until you're happy. Nothing goes to print until you approve it.

Can I return it if I change my mind?

Because every print is made to order from your photo, we can't accept returns for a change of mind. You approve a free digital proof before we print anything, so there are no surprises. And if a print arrives damaged or not as approved, we'll put it right straight away.
