Why we sell our prints unframed

Most of our prints ship unframed, so you can choose a frame you love rather than pay for one you'd swap out.

Pick your own look. Match the frame to your room, oak, black or white wood, or a mounted gallery style.
Don't pay twice. A frame you didn't choose often gets replaced. Unframed keeps the cost on the artwork.
Ships flat and safe. A flat-packed print travels far better than glass.

Choosing a frame that fits

Our prints come in three standard sizes, so an off-the-shelf frame is easy to find:

21 × 29.7 cm (A4) — fits any standard A4 frame.
30 × 40 cm — a common ready-made frame size.
45 × 60 cm — a popular large size, also widely sold ready-made.

Two easy ways to frame it:

Frame to size. Buy a frame in the exact size above, no mount needed.
Use a mount (mat). Choose a slightly larger frame with a mount cut to your print size, for a gallery look with a border.

Tip: check the frame's artwork opening (not its outer size), and look for a real glass or acrylic front.

How it'll look on your wall

Here's how the three sizes compare against a standard three-seat sofa (about 2 m wide) and an adult, for scale:

Above a sofa or sideboard, most people choose 30 × 40 or 45 × 60 cm. For a shelf or a gallery wall of several prints, A4 works well.

Is this hand-painted or a print?

It's an artist-reimagined digital watercolour, printed on premium paper. That means the lettering and botanicals are designed and painted digitally in a watercolour style, not a physical hand-painted original. You'll see exactly what you're getting in the proof before we print.

Can I order a framed version?

Yes. All three sizes are available with an optional wood frame in Black, White or Natural for an additional £30. The frame arrives ready to hang, no extra hardware needed.

How long does delivery take?

We print close to you and deliver in days. Once you've approved your free digital proof, your order goes straight to print and dispatch. Exact timescales are shown at checkout based on your location.

What if I don't like the proof?

Then we change it. The proof stage is there so you can ask for tweaks to the colours, the background or the likeness, and we'll keep revising until you're happy. Nothing goes to print until you approve it.

Can I return it if I change my mind?

Because every print is made to order from your photo, we can't accept returns for a change of mind. You approve a free digital proof before we print anything, so there are no surprises. And if a print arrives damaged or not as approved, we'll put it right straight away.
